Info: Jens Ludwig y Tobias Sammet, dos jóvenes de la ciudad alemana de Fulda, se conocían desde el colegio. Uno tenía nociones de guitarra y el otro un órgano. Pronto conocieron a Dirk Sauer y ya solo faltaba un batería para fundar una banda: Dominik Storch. Así nació la primera formación de “EDGUY” en la que Tobias se convirtió también en el cantante y bajista de la banda. Poco a poco se dieron a conocer en las cercanías de su población. Ya en 1996, con unos medios precarios, “Savage Poetry” se convirtió en el primer lanzamiento oficial del grupo totalmente autofinanciado. El disco cosechó excelentes críticas en los medios especializados alemanes y se vendieron las mil copias fabricadas.
